After finding the right grip and pull, I began to really love it I swabbed the bore with Militec several times after getting it up to running temp, and then again at the end before wiping it down.
Kel Tec P11 S Serial 1122XX WasAny of you guys know to tell when a P-11 with serial 1122XX was made Finally got one today Paid 189 used, blued and it looks as though it has never been fired. No cycle scratches even on the top of the barrel until after I ran a couple of mags through it. IIRC, 2001 started with the alpha numeric serial numbers, so maybe yours is 2000 I could be completely wrong here on the year. Whatever year it was made it was a nice pickup, especially for 189. Did it come with just the mag and the pistol, or did you get a box, manual, spare mag, etc. I notice you have a finger extension with it which adds a few to the value. It came with 1-10rd. LNIB. I field stripped this gun and looked it over under a magnifying glass. Ive been planning this P-11 purchase, and during the last 3 weeks have ordered the finger extension and some other accessories (2-12rd. ![]() I planned to put a deposit on a new one when I went to this local shop, (I was supposed to hold out until the end of the month), but when I looked this one over and compared it to the new ones which were priced 259.95 and looked the same, I couldnt pass it up. The extractor looks like the new shorter style with the round cutout for the spring. In fact, it looks just like the P11s in current production - the model has had only a few minor changes over the years, and I think they all took place before yours was made. I put mine in a sink full of hot water for a few minutes, blotted it with a towel, then worked it on to my P40 grip. I bought another one for my P11 (acquired later), and used a hair dryer to heat it up instead. It was much more of a PITA, then promptly tore along the seam, so if I ever replace it (it still pisses me off) I am going back to the hot water technique. That would really be irritating for that thing to split after all I had to go through to get it. Long story-getting set up with GearPay.) I called KT this morning and after being put on hold for a short time, the nice lady came back and said that my P-11 was made in June of 2001. I decided I wanted it on another gun so I took it off and when trying to put it on a Choate stock, promptly split it in half, oh well. I havent received the extra 12rd mags from Brock yet, so I only had the 10rd factory and the 12rd SW aftermarket that I got at the gun shop. This pistol fits my hand perfectly with the finger extension I cant get over the way it feels in my hand Out of 167 rounds, I had 3 FTFeeds with the aftermarket mag. Nothing major, easily cleared, and perfect performance with the factory mag every time This little pistol does pack a wallop I soon realized I had to get a firm grip on the P-11. At one point I even thought about trying one of those shooters gloves. I ran the target out to 5 7 yards and when doing my best was getting inside 3 at 7yds, and inside 2 at 5yds. ![]() The P-11 will make you flinch. But eventually I settled into the gun and the long hard trigger pull.
